TAGT thanks everyone who participated in this survey. As the results below demonstrate, social networking is here to stay. In addition to the statistical data, we received dozens of useful comments and suggestions.

As one might expect, different schools, districts, and workplaces have very different policies regarding social networking. Many districts ban social networking altogether, a few encourage it as a classroom enhancement, and some allow it for professional purposes. If you plan to use any social networks at work, check with your employer.

Despite frequently strict policies, an overwhelming number of participants are using social networks and believe they would definitely use a TAGT-specific social network.
