Registration is open for the TAGT Leadership Conference, March 29-30 in Austin

The registration form and online registration are now available for the TAGT Leadership Conference. Registration is $199 for members and $299 for non-members (membership is $49 annual dues). The hotel rate is $119 per night on Sunday and/or Monday for single/double occupancy; please make reservations online early or call 1-800-228-9290 and use reservation code "taltala." TAGT Talking Points for TEA Focus Groups

The Texas Education Agency must develop accountability standards for gifted education, as required by language included in House Bill 3 last legislative session.  TEA has solicited input from across the state using focus groups in the 20 regional educational service centers.  This document highlights what TAGT believes are some of the most significant ideas that should be included in the proposed accountability standards. Please share as needed.

Peer Reviewers

Tempo is now accepting applications for peer reviewers.  If you are interested in reviewing manuscripts for Tempo, we encourage you to download the peer reviewer application, fill it out and electronically send it back along with a copy of your resume or vitae to the editor, Dr. Cindy Little at:  cynthia_little@baylor.edu.  Serving as a peer reviewer is a rewarding experience as peer reviewers play a major role in mentoring new authors and assisting in maintaining high standards for the contents of the journal.
