The Texas Association for the Gifted & Talented (TAGT) is supported by a dedicated team of volunteer leaders and staff who work together to support gifted education professionals across Texas. The Board of Directors provides strategic guidance and oversight for the association, while TAGT staff manages day-to-day operations, member support, programs, events, and resources that help advance TAGT’s mission.
The TAGT Board of Directors provides leadership and oversight for the association. The Board sets policy, makes decisions on behalf of the membership, and helps guide the work of TAGT’s committees, advisory councils, affiliates, programs, and publications. Board members support TAGT’s mission by advancing association goals, monitoring financial health, and ensuring decisions reflect the needs of gifted education professionals across Texas.
The 12 member Board of Directors consists of:
Four (4) Officers (President, President-Elect or Past President, Secretary and Treasurer)
Eight (8) At-Large positions
All terms are 2 years, and all At-Large members, the Secretary, and the Treasurer may serve two consecutive terms.
